Suggest Medication To Prevent UTI

Since I realized 3 years ago that I am diabetic, I have started having numerous uninary tract infections. I ask my primary Doctor for an antibotic suppressant to help with this situation. i am not happy with this medication. I would like to know if there is another prevention for the uninary tract infections that that occur too often. Thank You
