General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,
Thanks for posting in HCM.
I understand your concern.
The dates you have mentioned on which you had intercourse are the 'fertile' days, which has a high chances of becoming pregnant.
You could have prevented pregnancy from happening by giving emergency contraceptive pill, but the time has lapsed for it as it needs to be taken within 72 hours after having unprotected intercourse.
Kindly wait for her periods to happen, as it should happen if she has not conceived. If she gets her periods in time, it states she is not pregnant.
If her periods are delayed by a week, she needs to take a urine pregnancy test to detect pregnancy. It would be better to undertake an ultrasound scan of abdomen if the pregnancy test indicates positive.
The only option left to prevent further progress of pregnancy is by intake of 'abortion pills'. Termination of pregnancy by use of abortion pills can be undertaken if the pregnancy is less than 10 weeks. This should be done strictly under medical supervision.
Hope the information provided would be helpful.
All the best.
