Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I need the right specialist to treat globus which developed directly following an endoscopy ( doctor stretched my throat). I have already consulted with two different gastro doctors and have realized no relief from their recommendations - one recommended a.muscle relaxer and the other an anti depressant - and I can see neither is the answer. Can you help?
Hi. Development of a globus after endoscopy may be due to trauma or be psychological. One should repeat the endoscopy and you need to see an ENT Specialist who on his ENT endoscopy can diagnose you better. If all the findings including the CT scan of the throat and neck are normal, then only one can label this as psychological
