Suggest Medication Which Is Equivalent To Fluspiriline

Hi, I have a friend whose father has come from Germany and normally he receives a monthly injection of Fluspiriline (diphenybutylpiperidine). Do we have an equivalent drug in australia? He has visited a local GP and he said that he didn t know this particular drug Thanks. Irene

It seems to be an antidepressant medication and no one can prescribe you an alternative for it just based on the alternate name needed.


We have to rule out the reason of taking the drug, its dosage, the patient evaluation and all that. Not all drugs ( even of same category ) work good for all psychiatric patients and even for one patients we have to adjust the dosage according to the present condition.


I preferably refer your patient to a Psychiatrist for expert opinion and to get treated properly.
