Suggest Medication Without Side Effects For Chronic Back Pain?
My father is 91 yrs old. He has pain in his back below shoulder blades to waist. He took Movantik for 6 days and no longer has any more of this but it did not help him anyways. He used to take loratab and it works good but causes bad constipation but he is constipated now with the Movantik also. My question is when can he take the loratab again and should he take it? Can t get into dr till sept 8?
The chronic back pain at the age of 91 years relate most likely to degenerative joint disorders in usual cases. The prescribed medication in form of Movantik contains Naloxelol analgesics used in various clinical conditions with efficacious results.
You can repeat the Loratab again, but beware of dependent issue for this type of medication. Rather I would request intake of tramadol hydrochloride for better recovery without dependency issue.
Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
