Hi,

As long as the lesion is there in the brain, there is chance for a repeat seizure and hence better to continue the drug as advised by your doctor. Alternately, if there had not been any seizure for last 2-3 years, you may get an EEG done and start tapering the drug after discussing with your doctor - never stop all of a sudden. But when there is a granuloma there, that too calcified, this unlikely to be successful. The best action would be to discuss with your doctor to change to any other anti-epileptic which can be better tolerated by you(usually people tolerate keppra pretty well).

Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Muhammed Aslam TK, Pediatrician
