My son has an ear infection with perforated tympanic membrane for 5 weeks now. He has had two 6 day courses of antibiotics and one 10 day course after those. The ear is still oozing green pus and he is complaning that it is sore. The GP says the perforation is healing nicely but I am still concerned. He has sent a swab to the lab for analysis and we are awaiting results. Is this normal?
this is regular course . if AUGMENTIN has not been used . it should be used to control completely. keep the ear dry , not to allow water to enter the ear. water if entered , it won't allow to heal. in children if ear is dry , membrane heals by itself
