Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have a problem with excessive sweating even with a small amount of physical activity. Even eating or drinking a cup of coffee can make me sweat profusely. The sweating always starts on my back then my chest and stomach. Could this be a gland problem?
Dear Friend. Welcome to HCM. I am Dr Anshul Varshney. I understand your concern. This can be due to any of the following: 1. Hyperthyroidism 2. Idiopathic hyperhydrosis.
Answer me following: 1. Since when are you having this? 2. Any breathlessness? 3. Any palpitations? 4. Any weight loss?
Also, get your Blood sugar and thyroid profile done. If they come out to be normal, then this might be Idiopathic hyperhydrosis. This doesn't require any specific treatment.
This is my personal opinion for you based on available details. If you have any further query please ask me. Stay Healthy Dr Anshul Varshney, MD
