Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I had frostbite 5 months ago and new skin still hasn t fully grown and when new skin grows on my toes it ends up peeling after walking for a period of time. is this normal and are there any advice you can give me to help the heeling process of frostbite? is applying aloe vera gel on the area bad?
You will have to help to improve the blood circulation to the region and avoid vigorous activity for that region. Wear comfortable footwear and avoid walking for long durations. Apply a warm pack and keep your feet soaked in warm water for at least 15 minutes twice or thrice a day.
Best wishes
