Suggest Medications For General Body Sores In The Elderly

I m 63 years old in reasonable good health and exercise 3 days a week. I ve started to experience body aches and overall body soreness. I have taken ibuprofen and I feel better but I have a concern of taking a pain reliever for an extended period of time. What is the best pain reliever to take over the long term?

Hello,
Acetaminophen is usually safer than ibuprofen if you take a small dose, like 500 mg three times a day, and if you do not have any underlying liver disease. It is also important not to drink alcohol while taking acetaminophen.
