Suggest Medications For Hernia

I had a hernia and varicocele repair approx 1 year and 4 months ago. My urine has smelt foul since about 3 months post op. A urologist tested for infection and there is none. What could be wrong and what tests should I have done. I also develop a Hydrocele post op.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi, thank you for posting.

I have gone through your query and I understand your concerns.

Symptoms that you are experiencing, infection and Hydrocele are complications of surgery.
Hydrocele is the accumulation of serous fluid in a body sac.

Tests that you should have done are:
1. Scrotal doppler ultrasound.
2. Urine culture.
3. Complete blood count.
4. Urine test.

These tests are still necessary in order to check postoperative condition.

Consult your urologist.

Let me know if this answer is helpful.

Take Care.
Dr. Behar.
