I would like to know the real values of your fasting glucose (they are usually in mg/dl or mmol/dl). The same is for cholesterol levels.
You should know that diabetic oral therapy is based on the fasting glucose values and on HbA1C levels (which indicates the mean values of blood glucose for the last 3 months).
Regarding cholesterol levels, it is necessary to perform HDL cholesterol/total cholesterol ratio, which indicates your real risk for cardiovascular disease. So the besides the total cholesterol levels, HDL and LDL levels should be monitored too, in order to come into objective conclusions about your actual therapy and consider possible changes.
Hope to have been helpful!
Best wishes,
Dr. Iliri
