Suggest Medications To Terminate Early Pregnancy

Dear doctor. . My periods was due on 1st of july bt still it hasn t started yet. I had unprotected sex with my husband 4-5 days prior to my periods due date. I haven t taken a pregnancy test at home as of yet so I am not aware of the real scenario. Kindly suggest a remedy to avoid pregnancy since it s too early for us. We want to avoid the surgical way so kindly advise on some medications or home remedies

I appreciate your concern for the termination of unwanted pregnancy.

Firstly I would like to suggest you that it is not safe to take the medications to prevent the pregnancy by yourself without consulting a gynecologist.

The pregnancy and its duration should be confirmed by an ultrasound, because medications are effective up to 7 weeks of pregnancy.

After the confirmation of pregnancy, you must consult a gynecologist she will prescribe the MTP kit.

Kit consists of one large tablet Mifepristone to be taken orally at once and then after 48 hours of that take the rest of the four tablets of Misoprostol orally.

After taking full kit, abortion occurs anytime between 6 hours to 5 days.
But in few patients there can be an incomplete abortion or excessive vaginal bleeding and in that case you have to visit a gynecologist.
