Suggest Medicine For Fever, Vomiting And Diarrhea In A Child

hi Dr. My daughter is of 1 year. she is having loose motions from last 1 week. It started with fever and vomitting also. I gave her paracetamol and domstal for vomitting. I continued enterogermina for 5 days. but stool is not fine. it is 4-5 times a day. Please suggest

I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..

As per your complain the symptoms of loose motions along with fever and vomiting ache can be due to causes like viral gastroenteritis, food poisoning, parasitic infestation etc..

As the symptoms have not resolved even after 5 days of giving Enterogermina, you should consult a Paediatrician and get evaluated and he can advise you to get a stool culture done to confirm the diagnosis and treatment can be done accordingly..

In case of infection antibiotic syrup can be given..

As of now you give fluid replacement therapy that is drink plenty of oral rehydration salts by dissolving in water and take more of mashed banana, yoghurt, rice and cereals..
Give zinc supplement..
