Suggest Medicine For High Blood Pressure And Swollen Ankle
Hi can you help?. I have been taking blood pressure tablets for twenty years now and a had to vistit my doctor about even weeks ago with swollen ankles he took me of a dug call aderlat and increased the other tablet called canderstartin,after two weeks or so my blood pressure was still around 168 over 98 to 107 i have been back since and he has put me on another water tablet that was two weeks ago and my blood pressure is still the same is it to early to go back to him or should I leave it longer.Regards Tony
Hi Tony, I understand what are you facing with, actually nearly 7% of my patient who receive similar medication face same problem. First thing i tell them, is to bother less about the ankle swelling, because it may look some bad, but they are not that harmful, if they are assured by my words and swelling is not that troublesome, my patients do well with the drug too. Actually switching drugs are not that easy, for BP which is tackled so well with one medication in one person, may or may not be tackled that easily with other medications. They may need higher doses or multiple drugs, in such case. So i always try to stick with one relatively better drug.
Still if you feel troubled with swelling, titration of other switched drugs is must, and may need weeks to show full effect.
