Suggest Medicine For Valley Fever And Meningitis
My father age 74 has valley fever and meningitis. It was found late and has spread all over. He s weak but walking and still able to hold a conversation. He s been on strong doses of diflucen for about two weeks now and is losing his appetite. He used to be on steroids like embrel and prednisone for years for Arthritus. I am scared that he may not be able to fight this because of his lowered immune system. How can I save him ? I ve been trying to keep him on a diet w many things that help the liver but his appetite loss is scaring me. Does he have a chance at beating this disease? He has stopped all arthritis meds two weeks ago

I really appreciate your concern for your father, it is geriatric case, more or less all the vital functions becomes sluggish in this age group if having some chronic ill ness and on multidrug therapy, steroid could suppress the immune system and better to stop this, infection need to be treated if it is ever there, vitamin supplement, protein, fruit juice, these would be much helpful, and worth trying, hope this information helps.
