Hi..
Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC..
I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..
As per your complain swollen lower leg due to hitting with hockey stick with bruising seems to be due to traumatic
injury to the soft tissues leading to ruptured blood vessels and causing accumulation of blood into the soft tissues and it is the cause for bruising..
Hard sensation is due to the reason that at times the
hematoma gets localized and encapsulated and forms a firm hard lump that can take a long time, say a few months to resolve, but it generally tend to resolve itself..
Burning sensation seems to be due to traumatic injury to the the
nerve ending leading to burning..
In case if you are able to put weight over the feet while walking then there are negligible chances of bony
fracture but in case if you are not able to put weight then you need to get an
x ray of the leg done.
As of now you should do alternate warm and cool compresses over the lump..
Apply
Heparin gel as it help in faster disintegration of the hematoma..
You can apply numbing gel if there is pain..
Elevate your feet while lying down..
Do less exertion..
In case if there is bony fracture then reduction and immbolization by using cast or
splint will be advised..
Hope this information helps..
Thanks and regards.
