Suggest Medicine To Cure Ulcer On Uvula

I have an ulcer on my uvula and was prescribed something called "magic mouthwash" which basically numbs my mouth. My question is, usually how many days until the pain subsides ? I can barely eat and the pain is intense. Also, it is just a single ulcer on my uvula

Hi..
Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC..

I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns.

As per your complain it seems that you are suffering from Uvulitis leading to ulcer on the uvula along with pain and difficulty in swallowing..
It can take for a week for it to resolve..
I would suggest you to continue gargling with numbing mouthwash and along with it:

-Do warm saline gargles.

-Take anti inflammatory painkiller like Ibuprofen.

-Take a soft and bland diet.

-Gargle with antiseptic mouthwash like betadine..

-Rinse the mouth with cold water and such ice.

In case of no improvement in one week or if condition worsen consult an ENT expert and get evaluated..

Hope this information helps..

Thanks and regards.
