I have inflammation in my right arm and shoulder that is limiting my range of motion. I experienced this the year before last. the doctor prescribed prescription strength naproxen sodium and that helped immensely within one week. is there any over the counter medication I can take?

Thank you for posting your question. I can understand your concern. I do not know the exact cause of your shoulder pain. If it is due to trauma , then it is okay to take painkillers. Apart from naproxen , there are many others like ibuprofen , aceclofenac, diclofenac . But do not forget to take antacids or H2 blockers like ranitidine or famotidine. But if the pain is due to arthritis , you must visit an orthopaedician and seek his/her advice. He can advise you some exercises and you will be better. You can ask any other question.
