I'm a 67 yr old male. just got off high blood pressure medicine cause of side effects generic medication was giving me, drs. told me to get off. blood pressure readings I've taken myself have been 155/88 some have been as high as 162 /90 but that was after drinking coffee.. thanks for your info.. if I get any back..

Although taking low salt and doing regular exercises are the ways to control your blood pressure by non meicine means but considering your age you would definitely need the help of high blood pressure medicines to control your high BP.
Side effects of medicine can be minimised by taking combination of anti hypertensive medicines in low doses.
