Hello doctor, I am 25y/o female and i had my laboratory test done SGOT and SGPT are normal (sgpt 20, sgot 20) but GGT is elevated (ggt 49). The rest blood chemistry redult are normal. I have read that it indicates the liver condition and it is due to some liver disease and other. I am not an alcoholic drinker, I took iron and vitamin c (not regularly) and food supliments. I am also taking analgesic sometimes. How do I get my ggt level to normal? Is this level of ggt pertains to a serious liver damage? Is this life threatening? Its freaking me out! :( Thanks doctor.

So consult surgeon or gastroenterologist for examination and accordingly investigation ...
Get your USG done first for rule out gall stone or cholangitis or cholestatsis like condition... If needed endoscopy retrograde cholangiopancreatography done...
