Hi,I am Neethu Vipin (Dietitian & Nutritionist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I've been dieting since June 2010, and while I've lost and gained a little, I'm about 9 pounds below my starting weight, but I've noticed that my weight seems to have shifted more to my middle, and now my waistline has expanded by several inches. My dieting extended to calorie-cutting and removing most junk food, though much of my diet is heavy in carbs. I recently began doing cardio and running and cycling recently to try to lose belly fat. Is there something about my diet that is causing this, or can I add things to my diet to prevent this?
Hello! I suggest for you to low the carbs in your diet. You better try to eat a diet high in protein and low in carbs. Try to eat a high protein diet with cheese, egg, cottage cheese, milk chicken, fish and less carbohydrates such as bread, rice, cookies, spaghetti, desserts. Proteins are the main source for your muscles which are a burning calorie machine. Proteins contain less calories than carbs. Best regards.
