Hi..
Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC.
I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..
As per your complain a swollen vein over the jaw along with swollen submandibular
Salivary Gland can be most common due to infection in the submandibular Salivary Gland and also there can be inflammation of the vein leading to swelling or dilatation..
Nothing to worry as it can be resolved after proper clinical evaluation and treatment..
I would suggest you to consult an Oral Physician or an Oral Surgeon and get evaluated and a thorough clinical evaluation and investigations like
MRI scan or x Ray can help in confirmation of cause and treatment can be done as per the cause..
In case of infection he can advise you to take antibiotics like
Augmentin, anti-inflammatory painkillers like
Advil, do cool compresses over the gland and drink plenty of water..
As of now do cool compresses over the vein as well as the gland..
Take anti-inflammatory painkiller like Advil or
Motrin.. Drink plenty of water..
Hope this information helps..
Thanks and regards.
