General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

The condition of Systemic Lupus is an auto immune response and needs an approach with various parameters. The non steroidal treatment consists of:
- Acetaminophen with paracetamol
- Naproxen
- Diclofenac or ibuprofen

The steroids are danger for having many of the side effects as:
- Weight gain
- Stomach ache
- Diarrhea
- Alteration in kidney functioning
- Stomatitis
- Osteoporosis
- Others

It is not recommended to consume steroids without doc guidelines.

Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
