Suggest Non-surgical Treatment For Foraminal Stenosis Between L5 And S1
I have back pain caused by foraminal stenosis between L5-S1. There is some osteophyte involvement contributing to the stenosis. I am unable to walk for very long distances without pain on the right hip and down my leg. I am trying to heal this naturally with acupuncture, natural anti inflammatories and supplements. Is there any non-surgical way to improve the stenosis, and core excercises I can do safely given my issues.
Foraminal stenosis is a condition where spinal cord or nerve roots can be compressed. it may lead to myelopathy or paralysis on a long term basis.
So microdiscectomy is the best option. but non surgical treatment include physiotherapy, hot water compression therapy, yogas which benefit in 5his condition. Don t take pain killer or NSAIDS drugs.
It may temporarily relieve the pain but not beneficial. so you can opt it out.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
