Hi,I am Dr. Subhankar Chakraborty (Gastroenterologist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
can jaundice (hepatitis a) continue life long if the patient doesn't have any previous attack of jaundice or increased level of Serum.Billirubin.. I'm having jaundice since 9months.. Plz help me to cure completely.. Would i never get rid me jaundice ever in my whole life?
Hepatitis A does not remain life long. Here you are not recovering from jaundice, hence your clinical correlation and drug history needs to be taken. Also rule out the main two viral marker, if not done that might lead to chronic infection:
- HBsAg detection by ELISA - Anti HCV antibody detection
Meanwhile for recovery drink fruit juice more especially apple juice, sugarcane juice, fried food, less non-veg food taken. Avoid alcohol if you have the habit. Lemon juice, carrot juice, avocados, Indian gooseberry are good for liver. Consult a gastroenterologist for examination and accordingly do work-up if needed with keeping my answer in mind.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. Parth Goswami
