Suggest Permanent Solution For Sneezing, Runny Nose And Fever

I have been suffering from sneezing,running nose along with fever since my birth.I am now 19yrs old .I also have dust allergy.I have taken several medicines but the problem gets repeated after some days. Is there any permanent solution for this long term allergy?

Hello.

Thank you for asking at HCM.

I went through your history and would like to make following suggestions to you:

1. Were I treating you, I would suggest you levocetirizine and montelukast whenever you have symptoms.

2. For diagnosis of allergy, I would suggest you allergy testing which will help you to identify the substances causing allergies to you and also to know the measures to avoid them.

Based on allergy testing, an Allergist-Immunologist may prescribe you allergen specific immunotherapy which works on immune system to gradually improve allergy symptoms over longer period. Immunotherapy can be considered as long-term solution for allergy.

3. I would also suggest you regular breathing exercises.

4. Please try to avoid exposure to dusts, smokes and air pollution as much as possible.

5. I usually prescribe my such patients vitamin C for 2-3 months which may help.
