I am suffering from allergic cold and Last 2 years i am taking Montek LC tablet as per consult. although my throat becomes red rapidly on upper part. If i forget one day to take Montek Lc tablet then cold attacks happens very high. Please suggest any permanent solution.
Hi welcome to him I understand your query and concern. Allergic cold can treated with Anti histaminic s like Levocetrizine thrice daily for ten days,low dose steroids and broncho dilators in severe cases.I also advise you to get a chest x ray immediately to look for any lung pathology or pneumonic patch.Also get an Patch test and skin tests.Also raise in ESR indicates allergy.Do not worry.Avoid smoking and alcohol.Avoid dusty environment.Avoid tomato,brinjal and fish to avoid allergic exposure.Also take plenty of fluids.Avoid exposure to cold climates.Take syrup Grillinctus thrice daily for one month.Vitamin C chewable capsules will releive to some extent.Consult your pulmonologist for expert management.
