Suggest Physiotherapy Exercises To Manage Paralysis
What physical excercises can be done with an 84 year old who did not have TPa and has paralysis on the right side. She had her stroke on Oct. 17 and is in a facility that is doing minimal therapy. No electrical stimulation, and she does have Aphasgia and Dysphagia.
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.
Paralysis in a 84 year old woman secondary to stroke is difficult to revert.
Physiotherapy can help to recover the strength to some extent but not fully. Dysphagia is difficult to treat. Some form of assisted feeding will have to be tried to resolve this problem.
Hope I have answered your query.
Let me know if I can assist you further.
