Hello, I have a tympanoplasty scheduled for the end of March. I ve had chronic ear infections (mostly in the left ear) all of my life. Both eardrums have holes (and some scarring) from the tubes I had as a child. The last round of antibiotics caused me to contract c diff, which has turned these last couple of months into a very rough time. I m finally getting back to exercising, but I m worried about keeping my ear dry. I can t NOT sweat when I m doing my routine, so should I just avoid it all together? I ve purchased bone conduction earphones (to avoid the problem of regular ear buds/phones causing bacterial build up in my ear), are those okay? Are there any precautions I can take? Really don t want to be sidelined from this for the weeks leading up to the surgery, since I m definitely going to be resting after the surgery. Any info/advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
