Suggest Precautions To Be Taken Post Angioplasty And Stent Placement
I got angeoplasty done eight yers back with one stunt in the artery. I am taking the following medicines CLOPIVAS 75 ; CONCOR AM 2.5 ; ATOCOR 20 regularly one tablet daily since eight years, I am normal in health. Should I continue the same or any change required pl suggest Mrs AHALYA 63 YEARS
You had undergone angioplasty procedure before eight years. So, to prevent further clot in coronary artery and to treat blood pressure you need to continue the same medicine. You are taking antiplatelet drug which help in preventing clot formation. You are taking antihypertensive and cardio-protective drug as well. So, without your doctor advice don't stop or change these medicines.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Parth Goswami, General & Family Physician
