Hi Doctor, Myself got married late at 38 diabetic and My wife, Sunitha, recently had a missed period and found positive at home urine pregnancy test. my question which tests need to be done and also which prenatal vitamin supplement is best for 1st trimester inorder to prevent down syndrome and other health problems for baby

Next tests are:
ultrasound scanning
medications like folic acid tablet until first trimister
try consulting good obstretrician who may advise for iron tablets also in later months.
