Suggest Prognosis For Health After Heart Attack

Hello, my name is Jeff. I am a 61 year old male waiting for heart cath on Monday. Asymtomatic for heart attack thursday. Had a heart attack with stint placed in right coronary artery in 2012. BP has been crazy for th past year or so. Been taking amolodipine benazopril 5/40 one time daily. Irbesartan 150mg twice daily. Hydralazine 25mgs three times a day. The hydralazine has made me have heart palpitations and short on breath. Changing to amolodipine Benaz 5/20 twice a day and spironolactone.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

Once the stent is working best, there are no other adverse outcomes for heart attack , provided you:

- Maintain BP, blood sugar, cholesterol, body weight
- Continue medications
- Be in regular consulting with your doctor
- Avoid stress
- Dietary measures
- Regular exercises
- Avoidance of smoking, alcohol if consuming

Hope I have answered your query.
Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Purva Patel,
