General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,
Thanks for the query. I understand your query.
Diabetes is known to affect kidneys &make them prone for infection.
UTI has a tendency to recur.. as the bacteria remain in complex kidney tissue &get active in between to cause recurrent kidney infection.Uncontrolled diabetes adds to it.Proper sugar control itself helps to avoid recurrence along with antibiotic treatment
- Choice of effective antibiotic would be by expert advise of .nephrologist after urine culture & sensitivity test. The curative dose & prolonged treatment advised must be taken strictly.
- Divetriculum of bladder can lead to such recurrence... can be diagnosed by USG scan/ ct scan & treatment under expert guidance,
Thanks
