General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

The symptoms seem to be related to a viral infection. I suggest using Tylenol every six hours for the fever.

I also suggest to apply warm compresses and soak the boil in warm water.

This will decrease the pain and help draw the pus to the surface. You can also apply Neosporin cream for local application twice a day.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
