Suggest Remedies For A Chalazion On The Right Eyelid

I have a chalazion on my right eyelid. I consulted with a doctor who is insisting on surgery as my only option. He says he does not believe in the steroid injection. My chalazion has gone down significantly but I am left with a painless bump. Should I get a second opinion and try the steroid injection? I am a bit nervous of the minor eye surgery. I have seen videos of the surgery and it looks like a simple process but I would like other options before surgery. Also this chalazion has been lingering for a about a month now. Started as a big red bump and now after warm compresses and antibiotics I have a bump on my eyelid.

HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

Yes, you can consider getting a second opinion about the possibility of steroid injections.
This is generally a safe and effective treatment and in some places just as effective as the surgical option.

Another opthalmologist should be able to assist you.

I hope this helps
