Toenail has detached itself from toe down the center of the nail. It s has a yellow color. I believe it started by a fungus. I was told that the nail was dead but now it separated in the cuticle area. What can I do to make it better and will it grow back?
Hi, From history it seems that there might be having fungal infection in toe nail giving detachment and brittle. Rule out any toe nail injury in the past which does give this type of picture. Apply anti-fungal cream over the part. Go for oral anti-fungal medicine like Flucanozole 150 mg once in a week for 4-6weeks. After removal of new nail will grow but go for complete treatment of fungal infection to get normal toe nail. Ok and take care. Ok and take care.
