Suggest Remedies For A Huge Bump And Bruises In The Arm Post Blood Withdrawal

I had my blood drawn a week ago last Monday this lady miss my vein and pushed him so hard it hurt afterwards when she finally got blood there s huge bump above where she went in with the needle and of course it s bruised all the way to my elbow but that s not what bothers me it s how horrible that cake is almost like you got this huge Charlie horse and it s difficult sometimes to sleep

Hello,

Bleeding in the arm is very common with blood withdrawal and is generally not dangerous. Most of the time the body absorbs it without problem. The patient needs to just elevate the arm as possible and put cold compresses the first few hours.

If the bulge is not getting smaller then very likely you will need to see your doctor and see the need to drain the blood that might be present there, this is rarely the cause but might happen.
