Hi I went to the hospital yesterday after falling off my horse and I have a large hematoma on my leg just below the knee. Nothing is broken or fractured but they said they were worried about compartment syndrome. I know what it is and what to look for but I was concerned because I am getting tingling and my toes are cold but at the same time my leg really hurts but I can t feel if I touch the hematoma. But around it where the bruising spread is painful. I don t know what I should do, it s been elevated and ice is on it but not sure if I should go back to the hospital just incase or wait til I see my doctor tomorrow.
