Suggest Remedies For A Lesion On The Tail Of Pancreas

My 66 year old male friend has been told by a radiologist to his MD that he has a lesion on the tail of his pancreas. Supposedly this was picked up during lung scans/x-rays. Us this possible and what specialty should he visit for verification and possible treatment. I understand this has been noticed for quite awhile but he was not informed until last week. His understanding is this lesion (MD s term) has not changed.?? He says it was also seen by his Urologist when being x-rayed for Hx of Kidney/ureteral stones which he has experienced numerous times. He has an appointment for further radiological exams the end of September and my question is should he have these exams sooner? EL
