Suggest Remedies For A Small Hard Lump On The Kneecap

I noticed a small hard lump on top of my kneecap. It almost feels like bone. It is not soft and it doesn t move under the skin. I did not injure it. It doesn t hurt unless I kneel on a hard surface directly on top of the lump then I get a slight stinging sensation which stops as soon as i stop kneeling.

My advice is to first diagnose the nature of this lump. You should consult an orthopedics (bone) doctor.

This could be a bony overgrowth or abnormal calcification of the soft tissue. In this case X ray will be the initial test for diagnosis. If the results were conclusive, the doctor can then describe the best treatment. Otherwise, he may order further investigations.

Best wishes.
