Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I was bitten by a tick about three months ago. There still is a bump looks like a pimple still at the bite site. I never had a bullseye or rash. I had treated with polymiacin etc.. but has never went away. It is hard to touch and about the size of a pencil eraser. No symptoms of muscle fatigue headaches etc. What should I do?
As per your query you have symptoms of a tick bite. Need not to worry. I would suggest you apply a topical antibacterial ointment. Visit dermatologist once if symptoms keep on persisting.
Start treatment after complete examination and proper prescription. You should get a skin patch test and allergy test done to find out the exact cause of disease and start treatment accordingly. You should wear loose clothes and avoid sharing them with anyone. You should apply Betnovate ointment on them. You should avoid touching or picking spots. You should take a course of oral antibiotics. Maintain complete hygiene and keep the area little dry.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
