Suggest Remedies For Abdominal Pain, Swelling In Hands And Feet With Persistent Flu

I have been having the following issues and are getting a little scared. I m 39 yrs old, female. Abdominal pain, a lot of swelling from hands to ankles and feet, I feel like I constantly have the flu, the heaviness from head to toe, no energy, and now my finger nails and toe nails are painfully falling off, one of my toes actually had an infection, I think. Can u help with this?

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hi,

This looks to be a complicated case as per the history you have provided as falling the nails off is a very rare phenomenon. Hence I would advise you the following:

First of all, consult your regular doctor to get a clinical evaluation, examination and get necessary investigations to come to some conclusion, maybe start appropriate treatment and refer you to the Specialists.

You may need special tests like CT scan of the abdomen, special blood tests like for all vitamins, thyroid, blood culture and sensitivity and so on. Take care and do not stop till you get the final diagnosis for the sake of specific management needed for the cure.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. T Chandrakant, General Surgeon
