Suggest Remedies For Accidental Ingestion Of Bathroom Cleaner

My friend drunk a cap full of harpic.. She vomited it soon as she drunk it Just in half a minute..! She has mild headache and pain in stomach. What can be done now!? I gave her 2 spoon of gelusil. There is no doc available right now, what else can be done? Will it cause any serious problem?

Hello dear
I understand your concern
Harpic damages the mucosal membrane causing erosion with damage to respiratory and gastro intestinal mucous.
Take following advises:
Do not try to throw up/vomit
Drink plenty of water
Do not induce vomiting,
do not give stomach wash.
Take 25-30 ml of mucaine gel followed by 30-50 ml of olive oil.
Drink plenty of water to maintain hydration.
If pain will become severe associated with nausea, headache, confusion, convulsion then immediately consult the gastroenterologist for upper GI endoscopy for further damage.
