General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

The symptoms seem to be related to Achilles tendonitis.

I suggest using anti-inflammatory medications such as Ibuprofen.

Some other suggestions are:
-Avoid putting weight on your leg as best you can. You may need crutches.
-Ice your injury for up to 20 minutes at a time as needed.
- Use an elastic bandage around the lower leg and ankle to keep down swelling.
-elevate your leg

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Dorina Gurabardhi, General & Family Physician
