Hello. Thank you for writing to us

Your topical acne treatment is more or less fine.
Topical tretinoin is a retinoid, it is comedolytic and is therefore useful in acne.
Glycolic acid is a mild peeling agent and is present in both topical cream as well as face wash.
Kojic acid and hydroquinone would help lighten acne marks.
The oral capsule prescribed by another doctor is an Oral retinoid which is a useful antiacne drug.
Oral retinoids are comedolytic, anti-inflammatory, sebostatic as well as normalizes abnormal epidermal keratinization. i.e they have multipronged mechanism of action in acne and in your case would have added beneficial effect in addition to topical treatment.
Since your acne has improved but the result is not satisfactory yet therefore I am also in favor of adding an Oral retinoid.
However, I want to make a point that since Oral retinoids are sebostatic i.e they would cause further dryness of skin.
As your skin is already dry therefore I suggest you to switch to a gentle cleanser e.g cetaphil cleansing lotion rather than a glycolic acid face wash.

Regards
