Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I m suffering from allergic rhinitis for many years. My main suffering is due to persistent nasal congestion, usually on my right nose. I m also having Deviated Nasal Septum. Having problems with sleeping and concentration for long time due this. I have tried corticosteroid sprays, Antihistamine, Montelukast tablets, saline solutions, Immunotherapy, even homeopathic treatments but nothing worked to improve my condition. Please help me to cure my ailments.
Understanding your concern. As per your query Allergic Rhinitis seems to be due to infection in sinuses and could be due to exposure to allergens. Deviated nasal septum could be a possible cause of it.
Need not to worry. I would suggest you to avoid exposure to allergen. Avoid intake of cold beverages. Take combination of antihistamines and mast cell stabilizers as it will give immediate relief and boost your immunity. You should take steam inhalation on daily basis. Do gargle with saline rinses. I would suggest you to visit ENT specialist once and get it examined. Go for paranasal sinus X-ray. Start treatment after proper prescription. Take a proper course of antibiotics.
Hope your concern has been resolved.
Best Wishes, Dr. Harry Maheshwari
