General Surgeon 's  Response
Hi and welcome to Healthcaremagic. Thank you for your query. I am Dr. Rommstein, I understand your concerns and I will try to help you as much as I can.

You can apply peroxide and have regular wounds dressings, however, in diabetics, such infections may heal very difficult so it would be good to have antibiotic course and take microbiologic samples of wound edges. ALso, blood sugar regulation is extremely important in such cases.
I hope I have answered you query. If you have any further questions you can contact us in every time.
Kindly regards. Wish you a good health.
