Suggest Remedies For Brunt Blisters On The Hand Of A Child
Hi doctor my 11 month old son put his hand in hot water and sustained burns and it got blisters . we have taken him to the Hospital and the doctor has prescribed him silverex ointment.Am worried about him having cars please help me as to how I can help ease the pain. and will the scars be visible after the skin heels? Hope his skin would grow soon. can you please let me know how long it would take for the skin to regrow he has no fever .I am still giving him Crosin as the doctor wanted continue with Crosin.please help me Regards Chan
Silverex is an antibacterial and is suitable for burnt wounds. It is good to use it as prescribed by the doctor. Meanwhile, try not to open the blisters as they may become more painful and may get infected if they are opened.
You need to give him something for pain, Crocin has paracetamol, which may help but add Ibuprofen might help even better as it helps with inflammation as well.
If the redness spreads then he needs to be seen by a doctor and check if it is getting infected and if oral antibiotics are needed.
Most of the time these heal well with only minimal scar tissue.
I hope this answers your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
