Suggest Remedies For Burning Sensation In The Left Leg
I have a burning sensation in my left leg. One the left outer side of the calf muscle. I recently got back from Norway. A few days after arriving in Norway I came down with Pulmonary Embolism in my left lung. Got treated for it and returned to Australia. I don t think its a blood clot. I m on blood thinner medication since Norway. But my leg has also been sore.
I read carefully your question and understand your concern.
I think you child may have Cellulitis .
Cellulitis is an infection of the skin and the deeper tissues. Group A streptococcus is the most common cause. The bacteria enters your body when you injure your skin as in a wound, burn or surgical cut.
While threat my patients i take a sample or cultive of the skin or do a blood test to identify the bacteria that is causing the infection. Treatment consists of oral antibiotics (by mouth) in the case of mild cases or intravenously (through a vein) in the most severe cases.
Since you need to know which bacteria is causing the problem the medicine varies, so according each of my patient i recet to them Penicillin, amoxicillin, Clavulanic acid, clindamycin (or metronidazole).
Kind regards,
Dr. Oscar Martinez
